    THE ROLE OF BIOECONOMY IN THE GLOBAL ECONOMY

    This document presents an overview of bioeconomy and its importance in the global economy. Growing our economies while protecting the environment is a major challenge facing the world today. The responsible use of biological resources is made possible by the bioeconomy. There are three primary forms of bioeconomy: one that emphasizes harnessing biology for profit, one that preserves biodiversity and strengthens local communities, and one that strikes a compromise between environmental protection and economic growth.
