dc.descriptionLa presente investigación tiene como propósito el análisis de las políticas coyunturales de educación definidas e implementadas por el Gobierno ecuatoriano durante la pandemia de COVID-19, la cual impactó en el sistema educativo. Es de enfoque cualitativo, comprendida desde marzo del 2020 hasta julio del 2021. Se centra en el análisis, a lo largo de un año y medio, de los dos periódicos más importantes y difundidos en el país, mostrando varias etapas en el desarrollo de los acontecimientos y siguiendo los titulares día a día de las diferentes reacciones de los actores involucrados en el sistema educativo sobre lo que ocurrió en tiempos de pandemia y las distintas medidas que tomó el Gobierno nacional y algunos Gobiernos regionales para mantener y garantizar la continuidad de la enseñanza en un estado de confinamiento y cierre de instituciones educativas. Según la clasificación de los tipos de investigación se teman en cuenta tres perspectivas como son: la vía de acercamiento del investigador al objeto de estudio, los niveles de profundidad alcanzados en la investigación respecto al conocimiento que se pretendía lograr, y los campos o áreas del conocimiento en los que se ubica el fenómeno u objeto de investigación; teniendo un acercamiento indirecto con la investigación bibliográfica-documental. Asimismo, se analiza cómo se utilizaron las Tecnologías de Información y Comunicación (TIC), que fueron un factor clave para la comunicación e interacción de los docentes con los estudiantes por medio de la virtualidad, aunque las brechas digitales fueron evidentes y una gran limitante para el acceso a la educación de la mayoría de la población estudiantil, por la falta de infraestructura tecnológica adecuada y la insuficiente capacitación docente.

dc.description.sponsorshipThe purpose of this research is to analyze the situational education policies defined and implemented by the Ecuadorian Government during the Covid-19 pandemic, which impacted the educational system. It is a qualitative approach, covering the period from March 2020 to July 2021. It focuses on the analysis, over a year and a half, of the two most important and widely circulated newspapers in the country, showing various stages in the development of events and following the daily headlines of the different reactions from the actors involved in the educational system regarding what happened during the pandemic and the various measures taken by the national government and some regional governments to maintain and ensure the continuity of education in a state of confinement and closure of educational institutions. According to the classification of types of research, three perspectives are taken into account: the approach of the researcher to the object of study, the levels of depth achieved in the research regarding the knowledge that was intended to be obtained, and the fields or areas of knowledge in which the phenomenon or object of research is located; having an indirect approach with bibliographic-documentary research. Likewise, it analyzes how Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) were used, which were a key factor for the communication and interaction of teachers with students through virtual means, although digital gaps were evident and a major limitation for the access to education for the majority of the student population, due to the lack of adequate technological infrastructure and insufficient teacher training
